The departements in Burgundy are Saone et Loire, Yonne, Cote d'Or and Nievre and this is obviously the region from where the wonderful well known Burgundy wines emanate, from attractive towns such as Macon, Beaune and Chablis. Dijon is also well known for its mustard. The region offers wonderful countryside and is within striking distance of the ski areas of the Alps.
