A Christmas poem from Penny Zoldan
Who can believe another year has passed
It all seems to go so fast
But then looking back to Jan 208
Little did we know of our fate
Yes, in Jan I think we would all have to agree
That sales were not coming in quite so frequently
But we thought that as 2008 progressed
We would see the sales number at their best – but currency what a pest!
Disaster as Sterling dropped its rate
Made all our clients want to sit and wait
No matter what ideas we have had
They just replied – not while things are this bad – so sad
My great big baby Latitudes with its 23 staff
Had had to reduce to less than half
My heart and my soul went into building the best
French property company – a few cuts above the rest
When the worst is over this company will show
Our superb service, selection and how much we know
I know it is hard and soul destroying
To call people each day who find you a little annoying
But the time will come when they’re ready to buy
And it will have paid off that you phoned to say Hi
Lets hope that this market picks up very soon
And the press and TV shows sing a different tune
Prices are reduced, there’s bargains to be had
A capital gain in the making can be had
We know we were right when we told them to buy
That 1.35 might be the all time high
So we have the last laugh as they would now agree
They will soon have to buy at 1.03
